CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: MADELYN AND TYLER’S BESPOKE ENGAGEMENT RING

Madelyn + Tyler

Madelyn and Tyler’s journey with AARYAH began when Madelyn collaborated with us through her bridal brand, CINQ, in 2024, a creative partnership that made designing her own ring feel even more meaningful. From a sunrise proposal on a secluded Hawaiian beach to a bespoke ring that reflects their unique bond, every detail of their journey feels deeply personal.

How They Met

Madelyn and Tyler first crossed paths during the holidays in 2021 in their hometown of Pensacola, Florida. Madelyn was living in Los Angeles, and Tyler had just returned from Scotland. While both were home for Christmas, Tyler asked Madelyn out to dinner and everything changed from there.

By their second date, Tyler had convinced Madelyn to delay her flight and drive with him back to New Orleans, where he lived at the time. “He picked me up at 7am the next morning, and we talked the entire three-hour drive,” Madelyn shared. “We didn’t play a single song. That’s when we realized we simply loved being together.”

The Proposal

Every year, Madelyn and her sister plan a trip with their partners—and this time, the destination was the breathtaking island of Kauai. On the second morning of the trip, Tyler woke Madelyn at sunrise with coffee in hand and suggested a walk along the beach.

Underneath an old tree on a quiet stretch of sand, Tyler laid out a blanket and proposed. Moments later, Madelyn’s sister and brother-in-law popped out of the bushes to surprise her—then everyone ran into the ocean to celebrate the moment.

“It was such a calm, beautiful, and intimate morning,” Madelyn said. “So perfectly us.”

Finding AARYAH

Madelyn had always envisioned a bespoke ring and had already chosen her design before their Kauai trip. She was drawn to AARYAH’s nontraditional, bold styles—especially the Uma ring.

As co-founder of the bridal brand CINQ, Madelyn has a sharp eye for unique, meaningful design. We had previously collaborated with her and her sister/co-founder, Macye, in 2024 on a special capsule collection between AARYAH x CINQ. Reconnecting for such a personal milestone felt full-circle and incredibly special for our team.

“I just couldn’t believe it was mine,” Madelyn shared. “It feels so special.” Even more personal was the secret engraving inside—Tyler’s nickname for her, “little bird”—adding yet another heartfelt layer to their story.

A Ring That Reflects Their Love

Madelyn was initially drawn to an oval shape for its flattering look, but everything changed once she tried on the Uma ring.

“What drew me in was its quiet confidence,” she said. “The setting felt bold but understated. I loved how the antique diamond was bezel-set, but still open—it didn’t hide the diamond’s beauty.”

Madelyn describes their love as bold, unapologetic, and rooted in deep friendship.
“We love each other loudly, without holding back. And the ring reflects that.”

The antique diamond, already rich with history, now continues its journey with Madelyn and Tyler.
“This ring has existed before us,” she shared. “And now it continues with us.”

Advice for Couples Starting Their Ring Journey

Madelyn’s biggest piece of advice for anyone designing a ring or planning a proposal?
“Forget what you think it should look like. Do what feels like you.”

Whether it's the shape of the stone, the style of the setting, or the way you ask the question, the most important part is that it reflects your love and is authentic to you. The most meaningful designs come from being true to who you are as a couple.

Don’t limit yourself. You can wear whatever you want—you never know what you’ll end up falling in love with.”
